Bootlegs is a teenaged, Auburn, CA based rock trio and the guys were cool enough to do an interview with me a couple weeks ago. This is the first interview that's been posted in almost three weeks, so get to reading!

Sick! Nice to meet you guys! What are three words you would use to describe Bootlegs?
Bootlegs: Blues meets metal
Who or what is used as inspiration for music?
Bootlegs: As a songwriter, I get inspiration from the mysteries between religion and science, as well as various female troubles.
Other inspirations include cannabis, and the hunger to be great.
What is the most difficult and what is the best part about being in a band?
Bootlegs: The most difficult is getting the three of us together to do little things together and the most enjoyable is playing shows and making songs.
What is your favorite memory from playing live?
Bootlegs: Our favorite memory would be from the 2017 Nevada County Fair (Opening Day). It was our best live performance.
Where is somewhere you would like to play but haven’t yet?
Bootlegs: 924 Gilman
What is your best advice to a new band or musician?
Bootlegs: Practice, practice, practice.

Bootlegs: Little Ceaser's Pizza
The best pizza! So, what is in the future for Bootlegs?
Bootlegs: We are releasing an album called "Pillar of Salt" in a few months, which will contain a re-creation our first EP "Mad Cyphers" (with our new and improved bassist, Trevor, as well as higher quality equipment), as well as new songs that capture our new potential. The process has been timely, although it will be well worth the wait.
